I started loving you when God put you in my belly. And I’ll never stop.
I loved you when I found out I was having a boy.
I loved you when I held you in the NICU.
I loved you when I did physical therapy with you.
I loved you when you fell from the slide and bumped your head.
I loved you when you fell off the bed and slit your eye.
I loved you when I planned your Spider-Man and Batman birthday parties.
I loved you when I took you to Taekwondo.
I loved you when I substitute coached your soccer team.
I loved you when I planned the ultimate nerf gun birthday party.
I loved you when I took you early morning cross country practice.
I loved you when I helped make your homecoming invitation poster.
I loved you when we talked about the dangers of drugs.
I loved you when I found you unresponsive in your room.
I loved you when I tried to save your life.
I loved you when I tried to find out who gave you that pill.
I loved you when I wrote your eulogy.
I loved you when I picked your final resting place.
I love you when I bring flowers to your grave.
I love you every time I go for a run.
I love you when I relive our memories together.
And I will love you when we are reunited in heaven.
